My definition of lifestyle photography is the art of capturing the beauty of real life. The photos look natural, candid and spontaneous. The session usually takes place at the client’s home, but it can also happen outdoors. It shows the family members interacting with each other, playing and having a good time. A lifestyle session tells a story with a collection of images.
All my packages include an introductory and consultation meeting before the photoshoot where we will decide about location, time, outfits, and I will get to know you and your family. I will ask everything I need to know to help you feel comfortable and relaxed on the day of the shooting. And of course, I will answer all your questions.
As a professional photographer, there are a few things that I like to control: light (I always choose where I shoot to get the best light possible), location (I might move some items or furniture to get a better composition), the colors (I give orientations about a coordinated color palette for your clothes) and actions. All these elements are important to create beautiful images.
During the session, I usually try to keep a conversation and encourage you to do things, so I’ll be able to capture the images in a limited time frame. But a session with small kids and pets is unpredictable and we need to keep our hearts open to whatever it may happen. I’ll be ready to capture those moments and they usually make nice and fun images. You just need to be natural, enjoy the moment with your loved ones and I’ll take care of the rest.
